2023 FALL Waiting List Registration
Fall Ball Details
The Fall Ball Rec season will run from early September to early November. Practices/games held during the week will on the later side due to soccer’s priority at AV during the fall. Games may be on Saturdays or Sundays. We will do our best to avoid soccer conflicts, if possible.
USA Softball AGE CHANGE. Beginning September 1, USA Softball’s age cutoff will move from December 31 to August 31.
* This means that girls born 9/1 thru 12/31 will REPEAT their Spring 2023 Division.
NOTE: We will allow girls to “play up” for Rec Ball if they’d like, subject to safety concerns. You’ll be able to indicate your desire to play up during registration and again at Evaluations.
Volunteers/Background Checks
Like everything we do at Sunset, Fall Ball relies heavily on adult volunteers. Everything in terms of background checks, SafeSport, etc. resets on September 1, so please work quickly to get the background check stuff done as soon possible after September 1 if you’ll be working with the girls. Fall Stars
We will run a “Fall Stars” program this fall. It will be similar to last year’s Select program, but it will include several weekend tournaments in October, November and December. Tryouts will be held the weekend of August 26th, the same weekend as Rec Evaluations. We’ll form more than one team if possible. Play ups will not be allowed for Fall Stars, even if your child is playing up for Rec Fall Ball. You’ll have the option to indicate your interest in Fall Stars when you sign up for Fall Ball. “Fall Stars” is only open to players who also participate in Fall Ball and who are not playing travel ball. Fall Stars is a completely separate program from Fall Ball and will have additional fees to pay for uniforms and tournaments. More information can be found here.
Evaluations
Evaluations for Fall Ball and Fall Stars will be held sometime over the last weekend of August (24th – 27th). Exact schedule TBD.
Fees
Fall Ball registration fees cover the costs of uniforms, USA Softball player registration, adult background checks, Junior Umpire fees, clinics, and softballs. Regular Price is $249 + $20 RBUSD fee ($129 for 6U). Fall Ball registration closes on August 15, after which time a waitlist will be formed and anyone added off the waitlist must pay $279 + $20 RBUSD ($159 for 6U).
