Carly Koltko

Carly Koltko is a dedicated softball player whose journey has taken her from the fields of Redondo Beach, California, to the collegiate diamonds of Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.​

Early Years and High School Achievements

Carly began her softball career with Redondo Sunset, playing from age 6 through 12. She then became a four-year varsity starter at Redondo Union High School, where she also played travel ball for USA Athletics 18 Gold. In her senior year, Carly’s leadership contributed to an undefeated Bay League championship and a runner-up finish in the Division 3 CIF playoffs.​

Collegiate Career at Sacred Heart University

After graduating in 2021, Carly moved across the country to join the Division I softball program at Sacred Heart University. In her freshman year, she appeared in 35 games, starting 23. At the plate, Carly recorded a .214 batting average with 12 hits, including four doubles and two home runs, and three RBIs. As a pitcher, she achieved a 4.55 ERA. ​

A highlight of Carly’s freshman season was earning her first collegiate win on March 23, 2022, in a 4-1 victory over Saint Peter’s University. The Sacred Heart University Softball team’s official Twitter account celebrated this achievement, noting that Carly not only secured the win but also contributed offensively. ​

Current Status

As of March 2025, Carly continues to be an integral part of the Sacred Heart University softball team, contributing both as a hitter and pitcher.​ She is also is in her 4th year of running the Redondo Sunset Softball Summer Camp.
